Police are forced to intervene as crowds mob Harry and Meghan's car during their first joint Nottingham outing since returning to the UK

Nottinghamshire Police stepped in on Thursday after wellwishers surrounded the Sussexes' Range Rover outside children's charity Epic Partners on Edale Road, blocking its exit. Officers instructed onlookers to "tuck in" and "keep shuffling back" before eventually clearing enough space for the vehicle to move. The layered operation included private bodyguards, council community protection officers, marked and unmarked police vehicles, and physical barricades. It was Harry and Meghan's first joint public outing since moving back to Britain with Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, in August.
Meghan told the crowd 'it's great to be back' at their opening stop, the Community Recording Studio, before the couple visited a food bank and Epic Partners.
Meghan sent at least one fan a handwritten calligraphy invitation to attend the engagements, and the couple had an emotional reunion with their Grenfell 'Hubb Community Kitchen' women.
King Charles confirmed last month that Harry and Meghan will not serve as working royals and are to be treated as 'private citizens with commercial and charitable interests'.
