St Paul's Road in Barking, near where a four-year-old girl fell from a block of flats on Saturday morning and was rushed to a major trauma centre, where she later died.

Barking and Dagenham Council owns the block, and its own company, B&D Reside, manages it. Emergency crews and London's air ambulance were called to St Paul's Road at about 11am on Saturday. Paramedics treated the girl at the scene before rushing her to a major trauma centre, where she later died. The Met says the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

The council says it is helping police establish 'how it came about'.

Council chiefs urged the public to give the grieving family privacy.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses on 101, quoting reference CAD 2424/24OCT.
