Police are investigating the 'unexpected' death of a woman whose body was found on Rhyl beach in North Wales

Emergency services — including the coastguard, RNLI, Wales Air Ambulance and Welsh Ambulance Service — were called to Rhyl beachfront at around 11:15am on Sunday 25 October after a member of the public found the body. Her identity has yet to be released publicly, and no cause of death has been disclosed.
Specialist officers are supporting the woman's family, who have been informed of the death.
Coastguard rescue teams from Rhyl and Flint both attended, along with a search and rescue helicopter.
The coroner has also been notified as the investigation continues.
