Seven international shipments were intercepted and 19 vehicles recovered after Greater Manchester Police raided three homes and a storage unit in Harpurhey and Oldham on Wednesday 4 November. Two men in their 30s, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s were held on suspicion of conspiring to steal cars and deal in them.

Warrants executed at Middleton Road in Oldham and St Augustine Street, Foynes Close and Kingsbridge Road in Harpurhey.

'The offenders we targeted today see cars as a commodity,' says Detective Chief Superintendent Lewis Hughes of GMP.

Criminals profiting in Greater Manchester should 'expect an early wake up call', warns Detective Chief Superintendent Lewis Hughes.
