Police divers recover 'items from missing fishing boat' Kilda off Isle of Lewis as search for two crewmen continues

Norman 'Tam' Murray, 40, and Murdo Morrison, 23, are still missing ten days after the Kilda vanished near Port of Ness on 13 October. The body of crewmate Douglas Craigie, 49, was pulled from the sea at 2.45am the following morning. Police Scotland's dive unit found the items in an area of interest where the boat was last known to be fishing. The MAIB exclusion zone near the Butt of Lewis was lifted at 11.59pm on Thursday.

A GoFundMe for the families has raised more than £148,000, smashing its £110,000 target.

Inspector Neil Taylor urged locals not to risk their own lives searching the waters.

Police call it a 'complex operation' as the families plead for privacy.
