Police divers recover items from fishing boat Kilda as two crewmen remain missing off the Isle of Lewis

Norman 'Tam' Murray, 40, and Murdo Morrison, 23, have not been seen since the Kilda vanished near Port of Ness on 13 October. Their crewmate Douglas Craigie, 49, was pulled from the sea at around 2.45am the following day. Police Scotland's dive and marine unit found the items on Thursday at an 'area of interest', reportedly the boat's last known fishing spot. The search has centred on waters between Port of Ness and the Butt of Lewis.

The exclusion zone set by marine accident investigators was lifted at 11.59pm on Thursday.

Inspector Neil Taylor urged islanders: 'Please do not attempt to carry out searches.'

A GoFundMe for the grieving families has raised more than £148,000, beating its £110,000 target.
