Police hunt balaclava-clad gunman who shot a man dead from inside a Midtown subway train

The 34-year-old victim was shot in the chest at 7th Avenue station at 53rd Street — on the northbound B/D/E platform — at 12:21pm on Saturday after an altercation with the gunman. CPR was performed at the scene, and he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in cardiac arrest, where he subsequently died. The NYPD has yet to make any arrests.

The gunman reportedly fired from inside a northbound E train before fleeing.
