Police offer £10,000 reward to find attacker who dragged woman into building entrance in Islington before passers-by stepped in

Detectives are hunting a man caught on CCTV in a blue and pink tie-dye T-shirt with a prominent tattoo on his left arm. The woman, who was in her early 20s, was harassed near Essex Road at around 3.20am on July 4 before the assault took place. Detective Chief Inspector Paul Ridley announced the reward on BBC's Crimewatch Live. Two passers-by heard her screams and stepped in, causing the attacker to run off in the direction of Angel.

Police have yet to identify one of the two members of the public who intervened.

That individual briefly held the attacker back and is described as having curly ash-blonde hair and an athletic build.

Ridley said the attack had a 'devastating impact on her day-to-day life'.
