Police offer a $10K reward to catch whoever stabbed a jogger, 28, in the neck during marathon training

Katie Suarez, 28, of Gravesend, Brooklyn, was found by her own father with two stab wounds to her neck after she failed to show up during what should have been a five-minute run along the Shore Parkway Greenway on Friday evening. She remains on life support at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, and no arrests have been made.

Suarez had just finished her shift at TD Bank, changed into her running gear and handed her work clothes to her mother before heading west along the Brooklyn waterfront path.

Karina Vetrano's father — whose daughter was murdered while jogging in 2016 — has spoken out with a personal message to Suarez's family, drawing a painful parallel between the two cases.

The attack came just days after a woman was raped at knifepoint by a man who dragged her into woods during an evening jog in Central Park on 24 October.
