Police probe British mother of two after an anonymous Prevent referral claims she 'over-identified' with Israel

Holly Passmore, 44, from County Durham, opened her door to two plainclothes Durham Constabulary officers on July 4 last year. She had made a press trip to Israel weeks before the visit. Officers asked about her links to Israel, why she cared about 'Jewish issues', and whether she had ever been to Auschwitz. Passmore, who is not Jewish, called the visit 'very intimidating'.

The referral also claimed she had mental health issues, which Passmore denies.

Police's own report admitted that supporting Israel or travelling there was not a counter-terror concern.

Passmore says a superintendent later urged her to stop discussing the visit online.
