Her mother Jessica broke down in a direct plea: 'My heart is breaking without you here. I need to know you are safe.' Officers are extending their search across the whole of Greater Manchester and beyond, having already combed through hours of CCTV.

Lillia was last seen boarding the 247 bus from the Trafford Centre on Saturday afternoon, heading towards Altrincham — but police do not know where she got off.

Ch Supt Helen Critchley told Lillia directly: 'You are not in any trouble — your family just want you to come home safe.'

Lillia is described as slim and around 5ft 5in tall, with glasses and light brown hair; at the time she was wearing a black hooded top, light blue baggy jeans and carrying a black Nike backpack.
