Police Scotland has confirmed active enquiries into claims that women were trafficked to Balmoral by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, with flight logs showing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Maxwell flew to Edinburgh on Epstein's private jet in 2006. The probe is described as at a "very early stage" and is evidence-led, with victim survivors' needs at its centre.
US Department of Justice photos appear to show Andrew and Epstein on a shooting trip at Balmoral; Epstein first visited the estate in 1999.
Thames Valley Police, the Metropolitan Police and Surrey Police also have live Epstein-linked investigations, coordinated nationally by the NPCC.
Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office and is now challenging the legality of the search warrants used to raid his homes.
