Police Scotland has confirmed active inquiries into claims women were trafficked to Balmoral Castle after Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor stayed at the King's private Highland estate. The probe centres on visits including a 1999 trip — when Andrew reportedly invited the pair — and a 2006 flight on Epstein's 'Lolita Express' jet from Luton to Edinburgh, with Andrew and Maxwell on board.
US prosecutors previously released a photo of Epstein and Maxwell in a Balmoral log cabin, taken during that 1999 Royal Deeside visit.
Andrew was already arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office over claims he shared sensitive trade-envoy information with Epstein; he denies all wrongdoing.
Police Scotland said inquiries are at a 'very early stage' and are 'evidence-led, with the needs of victim survivors at the heart.'
