Police Scotland is to draft in officers from 18 forces for Bonfire Night in its biggest deployment since Trump's visit

Police Scotland's Operation Amberlight will draw officers from 18 forces across the UK for Bonfire Night on November 5, with up to 1,700 personnel deployed to handle fireworks disorder, a Celtic Europa League tie against Besiktas at Parkhead, and a planned protest in Glasgow.
The deployment of over 7,000 officers across four days during Trump's visit to Scotland in July 2025 represents the force's largest comparable mobilisation.
Chief Superintendent David Robertson warns the force is "not complacent" facing this "unique challenges" night.
Officers will travel from as far as Avon and Somerset, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and South Wales.
