Police Scotland faces demands for a re-vetting timeline for 8,000 officers after a fourth rapist officer is exposed

Rape Crisis Scotland's Nicola Love says the cases raise 'serious questions about the standard of police vetting'. Campbell Petrie, 50, was jailed for 12 years at the High Court in Glasgow for raping two women while a serving sergeant. His first arrest came in 2009, but the case was dropped and he went on to receive a promotion. Some 45 officers are now suspended over violence against women.
Alan Greer cleared vetting checks even though he had a history of criminal behaviour toward women.
The Scottish Police Federation doubts re-vetting will stop dangerous officers joining the force.
Stephen Kerr says John Swinney and Neil Gray must answer for vetting decisions.
