Police Scotland probes Andrew's stays at Balmoral with Epstein and Maxwell over claims women were 'trafficked' to the King's estate

Police Scotland has opened active inquiries into claims that women were trafficked to Balmoral Castle during visits by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, with the 1999 visit — when Andrew reportedly invited the pair to stay — now central to the probe. US Department of Justice photographs show Andrew and Epstein on a shooting trip at the estate, and Epstein flight logs record Andrew and Maxwell flying from Luton to Edinburgh on the 'Lolita Express' in September 2006. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing; officers say inquiries are at a 'very early stage'.
The inquiry is the latest in a string of live investigations: Thames Valley, Surrey and the Met are also probing Epstein-linked allegations involving Andrew.
An email released in the Epstein Files, signed 'A' and sent from Balmoral in August 2001, asked Maxwell: 'Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?'
Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office over allegations he shared sensitive information with Epstein while serving as the UK's trade envoy; that investigation also remains ongoing.
