Police Scotland sergeant jailed for 12 years for raping two women — the FOURTH officer exposed as a rapist in five months

Campbell Petrie, 50, was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday after being convicted of eight charges of physical and sexual abuse against two women spanning 17 years. Judge Alistair Watson said the sustained criminal conduct had caused "deep and enduring psychological harm" and told Petrie his denial of responsibility was "disappointing". One victim, a police colleague, was raped while she was asleep.
Within five months, four serving or former Police Scotland officers have now been exposed as rapists — a tally that includes the convictions of Cameron Ross and John Williamson, and the death of Alan Greer, who had at least 15 victims.
His defence urged the court to consider his 'previous good character' and commendations for service; the judge imposed an extended 15-year sentence, with 12 years in custody.
