Police appeal for dashcam footage after the driver in her 70s is released from hospital following fatal Wolverhampton Lidl crash

Detectives are urging witnesses who spotted a blue Renault Zoe on Finchfield Hill between 5pm and 6pm on Friday to get in touch. A man in his 30s died after the car smashed into and through the glass frontage of the store. Sergeant Chloe Collins said officers are working to determine what caused the crash. The driver, believed to have suffered a medical episode, will be interviewed when the time is right.

Two people, including a woman shopper, remain in hospital with serious injuries.

Paramedics arrived to find eight patients; despite advanced life support, the man could not be saved.

Photographer Tina Bonev, who was inside the shop, said: 'I saw the aisle flying into the air.'
