Police seek dashcam footage after elderly driver who ploughed into a Wolverhampton Lidl, killing a man, leaves hospital

Sergeant Chloe Collins of West Midlands Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit has appealed for anyone who saw a blue Renault Zoe in the area before the crash to come forward. Officers are especially keen to hear from drivers on Finchfield Hill between 5pm and 6pm on Friday. The driver, a woman in her 70s believed to have suffered a medical episode, has not yet been interviewed; detectives will question her in due course. Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries.

The man in his 30s received advanced life support but was confirmed dead at the scene.

Shopper Tina Bonev: 'I saw the aisle flying into the air... Children was screaming.'

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
