Police warn the public not to approach a prisoner who forced his way out of a Lewisham medical unit

Anthony Lloyd, 38, was jailed for 12 months in 2026 for actual bodily harm in an incident involving three emergency workers in Nottinghamshire. He was moved to the medical facility in September. He broke out at around 4.10pm on Friday and was last seen heading towards Catford. Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley warned that he poses a risk to himself and the public.

Officers say Lloyd may be at any point across London, or have travelled even further.

His connections span Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Merseyside and four other force areas.

Anyone who spots him should call 999 quoting CAD4739/23Oct and 'not approach him'.
