Pre-orders for Apple's £2,000 folding iPhone Duo sold out in MINUTES and stores will have only limited stock on Friday
A concept render of the Apple iPhone Duo, which sold out online within minutes of going on sale, with some buyers now facing delivery waits until January.
Some buyers who missed the first wave now face waiting until January for delivery. The bottleneck is reportedly the Duo's tight-fitting hinge, which is tricky to build and is slowing the factory ramp-up. Some countries will offer only limited walk-in sales, while others will reserve every unit for online orders. The book-style phone opens from a 5.4-inch outer screen into a 7.6-inch mini tablet.
The Duo costs £800 more than Apple's flagship iPhone 18 Pro, which starts at £1,199.
Reviewers warn it drops face unlocking, a key security feature on other iPhones.
It also ships without Reachability, and Apple says a fix will come later.
