'Norway sucks': Trump calls the country a 's***house' and says he wants nobody from there after his Nobel snub

Donald Trump claimed he "settled eight wars" after the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize went to South African jurist Navi Pillay, a woman he said "nobody ever heard of.

Navi Pillay won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for promoting peace and international law, with Trump telling supporters he had told the First Lady he would win "in two weeks.

President Donald Trump told a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday that he had expected to win this year's Nobel Peace Prize. He said the award 'was gotten by a woman that nobody ever heard of', meaning South African jurist Navi Pillay. 'I settled eight wars, and I got two more coming,' Trump insisted, citing Iran and Russia-Ukraine. The outburst comes days before next week's midterm elections.

Trump has previously aimed the same slur at Haiti, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

He earlier branded Pillay's selection an 'indelible stain' on Norway.

Pillay joked she would offer to share the prize with Trump.
