'Priced in': Farage's former aide Dan Jukes tells undercover reporter that £5m Brexit-reward claim was 'not the line'

Dan Jukes told an undercover reporter it is "a bit priced in with our Nige" that Nigel Farage profits from politics, adding: "No one's voting for him to be the pope." Farage first said the £5m from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne was for lifelong security, then reportedly described it as a Brexit reward in May. The standards commissioner is investigating why it went undeclared.

Jukes said Farage's Brexit remark was "not deliberate" and called the row "a little bit awkward".

He joked to the fake donor: "I'm happy to take a £5m personal, unconditional gift... I know a guy."

Jukes quit as media chief last month after a Channel 4 sting on foreign donations.
