Primark brings its home delivery launch forward by two years and will deliver clothes to British homes by December 2027
Primark has given no details yet on delivery costs, minimum spend or which product ranges will be included in the new service.
Primark's owner Associated British Foods has moved up its home delivery timeline after reporting a 14% fall in adjusted operating profit to £1.508 billion for the year ended September 2026. Boss George Weston said Primark acquired a robot-assisted warehouse in Sheffield — formerly owned by Debenhams, which now runs Boohoo and PrettyLittleThing — as the key step enabling the earlier launch.
Like-for-like sales fell 2.6% amid a 'challenging consumer environment', though UK sales have recently improved after Primark cut prices.
Weston said home delivery would be 'incremental and profitable', with charges for delivery and returns now able to cover most logistical costs.
The launch is timed to coincide with Primark's planned demerger from ABF by December 2027, which Weston hopes will reassure potential investors.
