Prince Harry looks 'utterly miserable' after turning his back on royal duty, says biographer, as his reconciliation plea falls flat

Royal biographer Hugo Vickers compared Prince Harry to his great-great-uncle Edward VIII, who he says ended his life with 'really dead, sad eyes'. He set that against the late Queen's 'sparkling eyes' at 88. 'Duty will always make you happier in the long run,' Vickers warned. His verdict follows Harry's 42-minute GQ interview, in which he said: 'Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out.'
Harry's call for reconciliation reportedly drew a 'chorus of eye-rolls' in royal circles.
The interview overshadowed King Charles and Kate welcoming the Sultan of Oman.
Harry and Prince William have not spoken in four years.
