Prince Harry's GQ plea that 'some people don't want it to work out' draws a 'chorus of eye-rolls' in royal circles

Prince Harry's 42-minute GQ interview dropped on the same day King Charles and the Princess of Wales were hosting the Sultan of Oman, stealing the spotlight from the occasion. Harry and Prince William have reportedly been out of contact for four years. Harry told GQ that reconciliation is 'the most important thing' amid all that is happening in the world. Royal aides, according to reports, no longer take him at his word.

Harry and Meghan brought Archie and Lilibet back to the UK in August.

William subsequently took a seat on Graham Norton's BBC sofa to champion his Earthshot awards.

The interview was intended to publicise a masterclass on grief, not to air his family rift.
