Prince Harry appeared before NATO's Military Committee in Brussels via videolink, calling on the alliance to strengthen its support for veterans once they have left the armed forces. The Duke of Sussex, who spent a decade in the British Army and departed military service in 2015, said the transition had stripped him of a sense of purpose.

Harry said he considers himself fortunate to still be able to serve his country through his Invictus Games work.

The address was described as a surprise appearance before NATO's Military Committee in Brussels.
