Prince William is 'blown away' by young black scholars on Black History Month visit to London bursary scheme

Prince William told Amos Bursary students they were "going places" after watching them complete team-building exercises at Urban MBA's north London offices in Hoxton. The future king said their tenacity and resilience showed "how many challenges and barriers you've all had to face." He spent time with both current scholars and graduates of the five-year mentoring programme, which each year supports 50 high-achieving students of African and Caribbean heritage drawn from London and the West Midlands.
The Amos Bursary was co-founded in 2009 by Labour peer Baroness Amos and her sister Colleen Amos, starting with just seven students.
Former TV presenter Baroness Sarpong told William the bursary has "one of the best" success rates for delivery of any such scheme.
The visit, coming during Black History Month, forms part of William's wider commitment to nurturing the rising generation of black British leaders.
