Prince William reveals he once wanted to be a policeman or a DJ as he takes Graham Norton's sofa

The Prince of Wales, 44, became the first royal ever to appear on the show, walking out unannounced to gasps from the studio audience. He joined Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham and Robert Irwin for a special edition plugging his Earthshot Prize. The ceremony begins in Mumbai on 17 November, with £5 million in prize money. William also said Charlotte and Louis are 'obsessed' with The Celebrity Traitors.

PR veteran Mark Borkowski branded the appearance 'petulant', calling it a riposte to Harry.

William admitted poking Ross Kemp to test his Traitors nerves: 'Turns out he was really jumpy!'

The future king confessed his DJ dream fizzled: 'I wasn't very good.'
