Pro-Palestine charity Sun of Freedom accused of promoting 'holocaust paedophile state' T-shirt targeting Israel

A Manchester-registered Palestinian aid charity, Sun of Freedom, stands accused of promoting merchandise bearing slogans that liken Israel to a "holocaust paedophile state" and accuse it of genocide, organ theft and sex trafficking. The apparel was created by Mo Hamzeh — a trustee and vice-president of the charity — under his Mo Hamz Collection brand, with all profits pledged to Sun of Freedom. A £35 best-selling T-shirt also accuses Western governments of "bending the knee" to Israel, echoing an antisemitic trope about Jewish control of world governments. The clothing line is available through Warrior Ink, an online retailer.

Sun of Freedom was originally set up to alleviate poverty and assist vulnerable communities in the West Bank and Gaza.

A second design features an inverted red triangle, a symbol associated with Hamas after its military wing used it to mark Israeli targets in propaganda footage.

Mo Hamzeh, a Palestinian-American whose family was displaced in 1948, says the red triangle represents the Palestinian struggle for nationhood.
