Prosecutor tells jury Tommy Robinson is guilty of harassing journalists because Britain is not a 'vigilante world'
Ben Holt, prosecuting, mocked Robinson's warning that Mail journalists must abide by 'men's rules', urging jurors to 'ground ourselves in a country where there is law and order'. Robinson, 43, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, accepted that sharing images of their homes was meant to exert pressure. Holt branded his conduct 'bullyboy and intimidatory'. Robinson denies two counts of harassment.
The journalists, Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber, had written about his alleged role in the 2024 riots.
Robinson admitted hiring private investigators to photograph their homes: 'I wanted to find the journalists.'
He wept in the witness box, insisting the pair knew 'I'm not coming to beat them up'.
