Pupils are sent home after 'Islamist' 'bomb threat' emails hit 160 schools across Northern Ireland

Stormont education minister Paul Givan described the warning as not 'viable threat but it has clearly caused huge alarm'. The PSNI is making 'urgent enquiries' into the emails. Several schools have been evacuated, with parents told to 'come immediately' to collect their children.

Schools in Edinburgh were also evacuated after a 'hoax' bomb threat.
