Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev urges Trump to order the CIA to assassinate Zelensky, calling him a 'festering green parasite'

Dmitry Medvedev told Donald Trump to summon the secretary of war and the CIA director to fix an 'unfortunate little problem'. He added: 'The how, where, and by what means are irrelevant.' The former Russian president, now Vladimir Putin's number two on the security council, posted the rant on the pro-Kremlin platform Max. He claimed Volodymyr Zelensky harms Trump more than Venezuela, Cuba and Iran combined.

Medvedev accused Zelensky of 'fleecing the Americans for enormous sums of money'.

His outburst came as Ukraine reportedly hit a Russian defence plant in Yelets with British Storm Shadow missiles.

It follows Trump envoy Steve Witkoff flying to St Petersburg and hailing Putin as a 'humanitarian'.
