Russia pounds Kyiv with missiles and drones just HOURS after Trump envoy Steve Witkoff called Putin a 'humanitarian'
Steve Witkoff (right), the top Trump aide, with Vladimir Putin, as a Kremlin aide said a new round of three-way peace talks could be held around 10 November in Abu Dhabi.
The overnight barrage killed one person in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district and wounded a child, with Russia firing Iskander and Zircon missiles plus 210 Shahed drones. Witkoff praised Putin after Moscow freed Stephen Hubbard, a 74-year-old retired US teacher. Scotland Secretary Douglas Alexander said Britain 'simply do not recognise' the description. The Kremlin says it will resume talks after November 10.
President Trump insists the sides are 'maybe now the closest we've been' to peace.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said the Kyiv-Europe proposals lacked 'much substance'.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Fox he is open to freezing the front lines.
