Putin's agents are sending faeces to Finnish MPs' homes in Kremlin intimidation campaign

Russian intelligence agents have been dispatched to post human excrement through the letterboxes of Finnish MPs, in what security services believe is a deliberate Kremlin intimidation campaign targeting the Nordic country's lawmakers. Finland, which shares a long border with Russia and joined NATO in 2023, has seen a sharp rise in hostile Russian activity. The tactic is designed to terrorise elected officials and signal that Moscow can reach them in their own homes.

Finnish security services believe the operation is state-directed, not the work of random agitators.

The campaign follows a pattern of Russian hybrid warfare targeting Nordic and Baltic states since Finland's NATO accession.

The method — faeces through the post — is being described as a deliberate act of personal violation aimed at maximum psychological impact.
