Queen Camilla hails domestic abuse survivors as the 'real heroes' and praises Zara McDermott at Wiltshire summit

Queen Camilla spoke without notes for five minutes at Marlborough College and said that talking about abuse could 'put an end to it forever'. She singled out Refuge chair Hetti Barkworth-Nanton, who described the killing of her best friend, Jo Simpson, by Jo's estranged husband. Camilla called it 'one of the bravest things I've ever seen'. Her Queen's Companion, Lady Lansdowne, organised the summit.
Camilla told revenge porn victim Zara McDermott: 'It's people like you who speak out.'
Bereaved mother Julie Devey warned that teenagers are now the biggest age group for domestic abuse.
Lady Lansdowne's group is training Women's Institute members as contacts for abused women.
