Woman shot by NYPD is charged with attempted murder in Queens stabbing where she had let officers in

Edward Grant describes the 39-year-old woman shot by police as his girlfriend and a victim, saying she was restraining an armed man when officers entered. She had tossed her keys from a third-floor window to let police into the 149th Street home in South Ozone Park. Shot three times — in the shoulder, leg and chest — she is in stable condition. Rashaun Donovan, a resident of the house, is charged.

Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera said she moved toward officers 'with a knife in her hand'.

A 39-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were stabbed, and two knives were recovered.

Grant insists 'it wasn't a home invasion' despite multiple 911 calls reporting one.
