Benjamin Warner, of Chesterton, was convicted of four counts of rape and further sexual offences against a woman he had sedated, and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.

Benjamin Warner, 28, has been jailed for 14 years after detectives broke into the phone he refused to unlock and found videos of him raping a heavily sedated woman who could not consent. Warner, of Heath Street, Chesterton, withheld his PIN and told interviewing officers he had never filmed the attacks, all carried out against the same woman in the Congleton area of Cheshire.

Convictions covered four counts of rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault and causing sexual activity without consent.

'We had to go to trial and the victim had to go through the ordeal,' the officer said.

An indefinite restraining order protects the victim, and Warner stays on the sex offenders register for life.
