Rapist who pushed a woman's head into a pillow until she could not breathe is jailed for 15 years

Pressing her head into a pillow until she could not breathe, Dylan Millns, 28, of Leicester, hit and raped a woman repeatedly over several hours in 2024 before she escaped by climbing out of a window and called police. A jury at Nottingham Crown Court convicted him on four rape counts, intentional strangulation and controlling and coercive behaviour after a three-week trial, and he admitted two counts of actual bodily harm.
Dylan Millns separately admitted assault by beating and actual bodily harm against two other women in 2023.
'Remarkable strength and determination': Nottinghamshire Police's DC Oliver Bennett credits the survivor for the conviction.
Violence against women 'remains a key priority', DC Oliver Bennett says, vowing offenders will be 'held accountable'.
