Rayner's £15m Southport fund used to bankroll 'anti-Right-wing propaganda' warning of 'IMPENDING DISASTER' of Reform government

Angela Rayner's community recovery fund, set up after the Southport massacre to help fractured communities rebuild, instead channelled taxpayer cash into training materials designed to counter support for Reform UK and the Conservatives. The Ella Baker School of Organising received money to run a programme called 'Defeating Narratives of Division', delivered across Birmingham, Blackpool, Sheffield, Walsall, Solihull and Sefton — which includes Southport itself. A booking form for one session warned participants of an 'impending disaster of a Reform UK government'.
Materials described Nigel Farage as an 'authoritarian populist' and coached activists to challenge arguments linking immigration to pressure on housing and the NHS.
Birmingham City Council paid £13,450 and Blackpool Council £9,000 towards the programme from the £15m fund meant for post-riot community healing.
The Government's own ministry admitted councils are 'not permitted to use taxpayers' money to fund partisan issues or party-political activity'.
