Record-breaking 'off the charts' El Niño raises fears of heavy snow hitting the UK this winter

The warming could be the most powerful the world has seen in four decades, and experts say UK winters may feel the effects. Forecasters are now asking whether it could bring cold snaps, storms or even snow this winter.

Earlier monster El Niños sparked fires in Indonesia and the Amazon.

They also brought drought to southern Africa and flooding to southern California.

NASA's Josh Willis on this one: 'Right now, this one is on track to be even bigger.'
