Reform pledges to scrap Labour's 'cruel' holiday tax, warning it will cost working families £100 a break

Robert Jenrick has condemned Andy Burnham's Overnight Visitor Levy as a "disaster for working people," as Reform vows to repeal the legislation that allows Labour mayors to impose uncapped charges on hotel and Airbnb stays. The tax is projected to push up the cost of a two-week family break by £100, with warnings it will damage hospitality employment, and revenue raised will not be ring-fenced for tourism.
Reform's two regional mayors, Andrea Jenkyns in Lincolnshire and Luke Campbell in Hull, have already pledged never to impose the charge.
