Reform reports ITV, its board and undercover reporters to police, claiming the racism sting broke fraud and election law
Zia Yusuf, Reform's home affairs spokesman, posting a statement on X as the party reports ITV journalists to police, alleging undercover reporters were illegally paid to canvass alongside Reform members.
Zia Yusuf, Reform's home affairs spokesman, claims the undercover reporter hired as a Reform press officer 'doctored' her passport to get the job. He says two reporters paid to canvass in Portsmouth broke election law, and Reform will also bring civil proceedings. 'Journalists are supposed to report the news. These ones set out to create it,' he said. ITV says it 'stands by its journalism'.
Yusuf said some of the alleged crimes carry up to 10 years in prison.
He accused ITV of waging 'a form of psychological warfare' on Reform volunteers.
The film 'Undercover: A Year In Reform' caught councillor Dean Miller calling black children 'animals'.
