Reform's Zia Yusuf calls Alastair Campbell a 'war criminal' to his face in a furious BBC Question Time clash

Yusuf accused Campbell of deceiving the British public over Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction, telling him directly that "you and your old boss Tony would be on trial" if justice were served. Campbell fired back that six separate inquiries had cleared him of lying, and pointed out that Blair was re-elected after Saddam Hussein's fall. Presenter Fiona Bruce was forced to physically raise her hands to separate the pair as they repeatedly spoke over each other.
Campbell hit back after the show, saying Yusuf had more chance of 'captaining the Sri Lankan cricket team' than becoming Home Secretary.
Yusuf posted a clip online captioned 'the truth hurts' after Campbell appeared to pause before responding to the war criminal accusation.
Lib Dem deputy leader Daisy Cooper cut across the pair to lament a 'cost of living emergency' being drowned out by Brexit and Iraq rows.
