The Choose Love pop-up store on Regent Street, whose funds from Sebastian Croft's prize will go "predominantly" to queer refugees, according to the actor.Claudia Winkleman with Faithfuls Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft. James Blunt handed the pair their win by voting for a further banishment after the Traitors had already been eliminated.
Tory MP Jack Rankin blasted the BBC after actor Sebastian Croft, 24, directed his £41,500 winnings to Choose Love — a refugee charity whose website accuses Israel of 'genocide' and which bankrolled a legal fight against the Rwanda deportation scheme. Romesh Ranganathan, 48, split the £83,000 pot equally with Croft, donating his share to the Refugee Council, of which he became a patron in September.
Rankin said it was 'doubly shocking' that licence-fee money was 'shovelled in directions opposite to the national interest.'
Sadiq Khan publicly applauded both winners' charity choices, deepening the political flashpoint over the BBC's impartiality rules.
Maya Jama, who missed out on the prize after fellow traitor King Kenny voted her out at the final roundtable, donated £83,500 of her own money to Action for Children.
