Rescuers pull people off rooftops as severe flooding forces evacuations across America's Four Corners region

The San Juan River peaked at 15 feet in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, its highest level since a 1911 flood. Some 600 households were told to evacuate in Farmington, New Mexico, the biggest city in the region. New Mexico Guard boats, helicopters and amphibious vehicles were plucking residents from homes with up to four feet of water. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has declared a state of emergency.

San Juan County spokesman Devin Neeley: 'Our sheriff is damn near going to lose his home.'

In Hurricane, Utah, floods damaged at least 130 homes and RVs.

Archuleta County Sheriff Mike Le Roux said the volume of water was 'unprecedented'.
