Presley Gerber's sober team phoned the Santa Monica facility Resolutions Living on the afternoon of 19 September and told staff he was already under the influence, asking whether they would take him. Staff said yes, and Gerber arrived that evening visibly intoxicated and behaving erratically. The 27-year-old son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber was found unresponsive the next morning and pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. on 20 September.
Internal footage from the facility reportedly captured Gerber's final hours, showing him still impaired by a substance that has not been identified.
Santa Monica police are treating the death as a suspected overdose, though the LA County Medical Examiner has not yet determined how or why Gerber died.
The owner of Resolutions Living did not respond to requests for comment about allegations that staff admitted Gerber knowing he was intoxicated.
