Richard E. Grant, 69, left his fellow celebrities baffled on the opening episode of Celebrity Traitors season 2 after openly telling Joe Lycett "I am a Traitor" just 20 minutes in. Host Claudia Winkleman had chosen only two Traitors this series — Grant and Love Island presenter Maya Jama — in an immediate twist on the usual format. Fans have since spotted Maya making her own revealing blunder when the blindfolds came off at the roundtable.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger as Claudia closed one of two coffins — with fans convinced on X that Amol Rajan was the first celebrity murdered, not James Acaster.

James Acaster reportedly caused production to be temporarily halted after becoming 'visibly distressed' during a scene at the castle, adding to fan speculation he survived the murder vote.

Previous series winner Alan Carr has tipped Miranda Hart as his 'dark horse', saying: 'If they make her a Traitor, that is going to be TV gold.'
