Richard Osman says James Acaster is left feeling 'destabilised' by the backlash after he outed himself on Celebrity Traitors

Richard Osman revealed on his podcast that comedian James Acaster, 41, has spent weeks feeling "slightly destabilised" following the backlash after he outed himself as a Traitor at the roundtable. Throughout the BBC show, Acaster had maintained he wanted to play "as honestly as he possibly could," but his admission sparked an intense online reaction before he was banished from the castle. Osman told listeners: "James we love you — whatever he does next will supersede this in a heartbeat."
James Blunt claims the "full extent" of Acaster's interrogation never made it to air, and that Acaster was caught in a lie he could not escape.
Osman called critics of winners Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft's refugee-charity donations "pathetic idiots" who should "f*** off."
Acaster has denied reports that he complained to producers about being bullied by Rob Beckett and Romesh, dismissing the claims as "completely fabricated."
