Rival gunmen are jailed after CCTV shows them shooting each other and hitting a food seller outside a Birmingham nightclub

Aaron Nubie came back to FJ Lounge in Aston armed and set on righting the 'disrespect' he felt he had suffered, the judge said. Kimani Durrell-Smith drew his own gun, and the pair fired within a fraction of a second of each other. A bullet passed through Durrell-Smith's shoulder and struck jerk chicken seller Garth Pantry. Both men were jailed for 18 years each on Thursday.

Pantry needed surgery for a partially collapsed lung and has not worked since.

Nubie, shot in the neck and hand, told hospital officers he 'couldn't remember' what happened.

Representing himself, Nubie told the court: 'It was a form of self-defence.'
